This event has gained approval for 5 CPD points from the Royal College of Pathologists. CPD or attendance certificates available for delegates on request.

The Infectious Diseases Research Network (IDRN) and the Health Protection Agency are holding a workshop to discuss the clinical applications of point of care tests for infectious disease diagnostics. We hope to provide a technical overview of point of care tests available and speakers from a broad range of perspectives, including the detection of STIs and HCAIs, to provoke debate and bring together ideas from across the clinical community.

Pitch your work

We have slots on the programme to allow researchers looking for additional expertise to pitch their work as it stands. You can have up to five minutes to outline your current research and state what expertise or knowledge you are looking for to take the work onto the next level (e.g. commerical expertise, health economist, statistical support, access to samples etc)

Leicester train station is less than three miles away. A taxi from the station will take approx 10-15 minutes. Local buses can also be used (see above Space Centre link).

If you are driving, we will provide you with a parking permit to be displayed in your vehicle. This provides free parking for the day. Permits can be emailed to you in advance of the event, or picked up on the day.

If you pay by cheque, please make them payable to 'University College London' and sent to Cherry Constantine, Department of Primary Care & Population Sciences, UCL - Royal Free Campus, Rowland Hill Street, London, NW3 2PF.

During the registration process, you will be asked to specify your chosen payment method. If you select bank transfer, we will email you instructions on how to do this.
