The IDRN was established in 2002
in order to increase the quality, quantity and NHS-relevance of infectious
disease research, initially in London but now across the UK, through establishing
collaborations between academic institutions and the HPA. See below, and
also click here for further information
about the Network, and its activities.
Key
Network Qualities |
-
Supportive - academic
staff at the co-ordinating centre have been able to provide
epidemiological, methodological and research governance advice
to collaborative research groups who approach the IDRN for support.
This has directly contributed to the success of proposals in
a variety of priority areas.
