MSc Death, Bereavement and Human Tissue Studies

This new and unique postgraduate course is designed for all individuals who have a professional, managerial or voluntary involvement with caring for the deceased and their relatives and friends at the time of death and those who have a particular interest in obtaining conent for post mortem examination.

This course will provide you with the understanding, knowledge, skills and confidence in aspects of the legal and ethical framework and an understanding of bereavement and communicating with bereaved people. There is also the opportunity to think in broad terms about teaching, training and research on human tissue and what benefit can be derived from this.
